What’s your name and who are you?
My name is Kat and I make music and visuals!
We’ve asked you to create a playlist of tracks that have inspired your musical journey so far, can you tell us a bit about it?
I started really getting into making and listening to music when I was 13/14, so my 20 chosen tracks are my absolute favourites from then to now. My roots started with 80s indie but I’ve had many phases, from punk to jazz to folk to garage and reggae. All these tracks have fantastic soundscapes and featured as the soundtracks to my teenage years at one point or another.
If the playlist you created had to be the soundtrack to a film, what film would that be?
Lost in Translation (2003), the film has some great highs and lows and is so visually pleasing, this playlist would fit beautifully with it.
What do you imagine most people are doing whilst they listen to your music?
Dancing round their bedrooms or driving really fast on a motorway.
How would you describe your music in three words?
Friendly, empowering and energetic!
What does the rest of 2023 hold for you?
World domination and lots and lots of new music!
